Evenly Distributed Heating

You can use the IR heating lamp and the preheater to heat the component and the board evenly from both the top and the bottom. This is best for efficiently extracting temperature-sensitive SMD components while eliminating your worry of frying the IC when using just the hot air gun.

Precision IR Temperature Control

The IR heating lamp comes with an external thermal couple to allow temperature detection and limiting. In sensor limiter mode, you can set the temperature limit. The system will ensure the acutal temperature (measured from the thermal couple) stays within the limited value to protect the IC at work.

Better Heat Transfer

As compared to using just the hot air gun to extract components, the IR Lamp transfers heat onto the component via an infra-red beam. The IR beam can transfer heat better, provide improved heat penetration, and heat the component more evenly. You also won't worry about not having enough heat transfer when air volume is set in low or blow micro components away when air volume is high.

Hot Air Rework & Soldering

The hot air rework station heats up quickly, and with a temperature range of 212 to 896°F, you can work on a wide range of components. On top of that, the hot air rework station also comes with an in-holder start/stop function to extend the heating element's lifespan. You can also make use of the 75W equivalent soldering station with a temperature of 392 to 896°F for any general soldering work when needed.
