Volume 4 of WALT DISNEY'S LEGACY COLLECTION features NATURE'S MYSTERIES -- a collection of TWO previously released full-length films in the Disney "TRUE-LIFE ADVENTURE" series, which were originally released in movie theaters, and were subsequently shown occasionally on the 1950s television program DISNEYLAND.

The first documentary film is SECRETS OF LIFE, which was originally released in 1956, winning a 1957 Golden Bear Award for Best Documentary at the Berlin Film Festival.  The film explores how plant, insect and animal life develops and adapts to environmental surroundings.  Running time is 70 minutes.

The second film is THE STORY OF PERRI, originally released in 1957, which is part documentary, and part family-oriented nature film, following the life and adventures of a squirrel named Perri.  The film won a Golden Bear Award for Best Documentary at the 1958 Berlin Film Festival.  Running time is 75 minutes.

Included also is the WALT DISNEY documentary NATURE'S HALF ACRE, which was originally released in 1951, winning an Academy Award for Best Short Subject / Two-Reel in 1952.  NATURE'S HALF ACRE is a short documentary concerning the strange and amazing natural world found in most common areas.  Running time is 33 minutes.

This box set also includes several other previously unreleased full color documentaries, as well as commentaries and other features.
