This is an ESTATE PAIR of DIAMOND STUD STATEMENT EARRINGS that was made in the ART DECO HALO STYLE from PLATINUM, post 1950. These earrings have been my personal earrings for 25+ years and I am now ready to part with them. The earrings are centrally bezel-set with 2 OLD TRANSITIONAL CUT DIAMONDS of K-L color, VS clarity that weigh 1.04 ct and 1.05 ct. These diamonds are very clear with beautiful sparkle. *The old transitional cut is the antique cut that is closest to the modern brilliant cut in regards to proportions and light return. It is also known as the Early Modern or Early American Cut.
The earrings are detailed with a HALO that is set with 42 NATURAL BLUE SAPPHIRES that weigh approx. 1.25 ctw. These CHANNEL-SET sapphires are FACETED SQUAREish SHAPES of FINE QUALITY. The sapphire halo measures 13.6 mm in diameter and the earrings are 4.7 mm thick. They have push-on butterfly backs and the total wight is 8.4 grams. AN EYE-CATCHING PAIR OF STUDS ... JUST GORGEOUS!!
