Mexican Tarragon (Tagetes lucida) is both a culinary and medicinal herb. Commonly used as a replacement to French Tarragon in regions where the climate is hotter and drier. French Tarragon does not do well in either. Both are very similar in appearance and aroma, whereas Mexican Tarragon will have more of an aniseed flavor. This perennial will have an upright bush growth habit that will produce soft gray/green leaves 2.5" long. At full maturity it will blossom beautiful yellow flowers. Also known as Texas Tarragon or Mexican Mint Marigold
