CARSIL is a non-prescribed Sopharma medicinal product containing silymarin, which is used for the symptomatic treatment of chronic toxic liver damage; for maintenance treatment in patients with chronic inflammatory diseases of the liver and liver cirrhosis. The active substance in Karsil, silymarin, is isolated from the fruit of the plant white thorn. Silymarin activates protein and phospholipid synthesis in damaged liver cells, stabilizes their cell membranes, binds free radicals (antioxidant action). Its main action is to protect the liver cells from the harmful effects of various factors such as alcohol, medicines, viral infections, industrial pollutants. In the case of damage to the liver cells, it promotes their faster recovery.
Carsil composition for liver problems 22.5 ng x80 tablets:
 
 
 
Each coated tablet contains 40.9-56.3 mg of Silybi mariani fructus extractum siccum (35-50: 1), eq. of 22.5 mg silymarin, such as silibinin (HPLC).
 
The other ingredients are lactose monohydrate, wheat starch, povidone, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, talc, mannitol, crospovidone, polysorbate 80, sodium hydrogen carbonate.
 
Coated coating: cellulose acetophthalate, diethyl phthalate, sucrose, arabic gum, gelatin, talc, titanium dioxide, macrogol 6000, glycerol, brown opalux.
 

Dosage and application:

It is administered orally to adults at 35-70 mg 3 times a day. In severe intoxications, treatment begins with a dose of 140 mg 3 times daily and continues with 140 mg twice daily. For children daily dose - 5 mg / kg divided into 3 doses. The course of treatment is from 3 to 12 months.
