This vintage Flexible Flyer Planet Jr Model 28 w u push handle baby sleigh with wheels is a charming addition to any winter or Christmas collection. The sled is made of wood and metal and shows some signs of wear, such as paint flaking and light rust, but is still functional. The sleigh features a backrest and armrests to keep small children safe while sledding.
The sleigh measures 28" long by 14" wide, with a handle that is 34" by 12" wide. It comes with two push handles and wheels that work as intended. Some bolts are not original and the handle does not come with bolts. This sleigh is from the 1930s and was manufactured in the United States. It will be disassembled for shipping.
Condition notes this sled is very restorable but can be used the way it is the handle hasn't been near where it mounts but I don't think that will affect anything because it is surrounded by two metal braces and also the handle has rust at the and where it mounts. The slay itself has solid wood there is one part where it looks cracked and maybe was glued on the bottom I took a picture of that but that still seems pretty solid. The metal for the runners and the sled itself is very thick and strong and I think with some paint would be very nice. The wood on the top of the sleigh looks that it could be sanded stained and refinished and it would be beautiful like I said you could use it the way it is. The button to drop the wheels down works great and the wheels are in decent shape so you could still use it on dry land this is a Unique Piece I believe it's from the 20s or 30s I haven't seen too many just like this I bought it from a gentleman who said his grandfather had it as a baby. If I didn't mention this already the handle does not have the screws but you could match them up and get them at a hardware store.
