We grow over 100 varieties of roses. We are a small nursery-so you can be assured that you are getting hands on service from the growers (myself, Lance and Marilyn). This is one of the very finest roses easily adapted to many locals and climates. Of our 100 + roses this is one of my very favorites-right up there with Souvinour Malmason, Jude the Obscure and White Eden. It was recommended by Martha Stewert many years ago and it has been with me ever since. A sophisticated, unusual, unique yet classical rose of the ages-Not to be missed. In fact, it was my showcase rose that I bought from a large heirloom rose company all those years ago. It is still growing fine. It is one of those rocks that live many many years. A climber, with just the right amount of energetic vigor. To 12 feet. The flowers have many petals arranged in the form of flat, quartered rosettes. They are creamy white, sometimes with a hint of pink at the centre, and have a fragrant tea scent. In quality and refinement they compare with the very best old roses. Although Sombreuil is a hardy rose that repeats flowers well, In fact we know of no other old variety that produces better flowers in autumn. Can be grown on a pillar or other support. This is your showcase rose. Wonderful with other white roses in front of it such as White Eden, Iceberg, various hybrid teas, Moon Dance, Blanc Double de Coubert etc.

The roses I am selling are bare rooted 12-16 inches. 1-3 year old, small well-rooted plants. See samples in pots in the illustration section above.
