How Nixoderm Ointment Works
Benzoic acid provides good anti-fungal properties. Salicylic acid is a keratolytic agent which treats and prevents acne. Precipitated sulphur is a mild anti-septic, anti-fungal and parasiticidal agent.
 
Indication For Skin Problems
Nixoderm Ointment is used externally for pimples, blackheads, itching, rashes and ringworm of the skin and scalp.


How To Use Nixoderm Ointment
For Pimples, Eczema and Rashes
After cleansing, apply gently but thoroughly a liberal amount of Nixoderm Ointment so that the entire surface is covered. This should be done twice daily, in the morning and evening. The treatment should be followed for seven days then discontinued for three days and resumed for further seven days. Continue this pattern of treatment until the condition has cleared up.
 
For Foot Itch
Clean and dry your feet thoroughly. Apply liberal amount of Nixoderm ointment onto the affected area, paying special attention to areas between the toes. This should be done twice daily, in the morning and evening. The treatment should be followed for seven days then discontinued for three days and resumed for further seven days. Continue this pattern of treatment until the condition has cleared up. This is one of the most stubborn skin conditions, hence symptoms may disappear only to re-emerge.
Therefore, it is recommended that treatment continue for three weeks after symptoms have disappeared.
 
For Ringworm
Apply liberal amount of Nixoderm ointment twice daily, in the morning and evening. The treatment should be followed for seven days then discontinued for three days and resumed for further seven days. Continue this pattern of treatment until the condition has cleared up. This is one of the most stubborn skin conditions, therefore it is recommended that treatment continue as long as it is necessary.
