This is a Japanese hard paste porcelain round bowl, entirely hand painted. The date is circa 1911 to 1921.

The bowl is 8” round x 3” high with 2 open handles


The scene is hand painted of a sailboat just after sunset with an orange sky and nearby hills, house, tree.   There is a moriage edge of brown or gold with black zig-zag patter and dots.  The edge is in very good condition and appears be be in tact.

There are no chips, nicks, cracks or crazing. There is are yellow places on the front side and back that looks like the residue from tape or an old sticker. There are age marks on the back and inside front of the bowl, but this piece is in overall very good condition.

The Maple Leaf mark above "Nippon" and "Hand Painted" are stamped in blue on the back of the bowl. there are age marks on the back and inside front of the bowl.
