Description
Exceptional school class photograph from DeWitt Clinton School (Chicago) dated June 28th 1923. What makes this photograph so unique is that many members of the class have inscribed their names and quotes on the verso. Naturally in doing so in cursive penmanship fashion... which elminates about 90 % of todays youth from reading there names.
Take note of the girl on the front row holding a beautiful Art deco chrome globe? Perhaps an academic trophy she earned or classroom award. And check out those 1920's hair bob's, gangster suits and flapper headbands which were clearly in vogue for this fashionable group of youngsters. Rarely do I come across school photographs with so much pizzazz and wonderful identifications. Hard to believe this image is now 101 years old and aging beautifully.
