Antique Albumen Photo School White River Junction, Vermont

For your consideration I have an albumen photograph of thick board of school from White River Junction, Vermont. It is an unusual photograph in posing the class in front of a large and imposing “culvert.” Not certain why the class was not posed in front of their school house, but the tunnel into the abyss certainly made this portrait one to remember. 
 
To compound the mystery there is a boy, far left second row from the bottom that is fading away into ghost like status.
 
This fine image measures 8 x 10 inches.
