Exceptional one-sixth plate daguerreotype of a confident ginger hair girl holding a nosegay with a sterling baton. On the left side there is a mysterious & beautiful globe or perhaps a Japanese styled lantern or crystal table lamp?  (The object itself is mesmerizing) The balance and composition of this portrait is superb in every respect. All beiung stated the smartly dressed little girl is not one bit intimidated by the daguerreian process of photography. 

Housed in a lovely " Love Birds" leather case in nr.mint conition.
