19^th century photograph showing a time of leisure on the James River in Springfield, Missouri. These images often intrigue me as photographer Sanders just happened to be there on the shoreline with camera or was part of the party itself? Lugging a camera with the plates during this time had to a sizable task in its own right. But Mr. Sanders apparently did just that. And I’m pleased he did.
