Two Happy New Year cards, in Finnish and in Swedish, one Happy Easter card and one Greetings card in Finnish and 

 

The Art cards that Tove Jansson produced during the 1940’s is explained by the fact that she then needed to take on the illustration assignments that were available to keep the economy going.

Compared to many other commissions, these cards were relatively quick to produce and easily transferable into funds for travelling.

These cards were printed in the middle of the war so only a small part was saved.

Very hard to find and they are sought-after collectible rarities today.

Both Happy New Year cards have Tove's name on it.
