This book is in great condition.
There is some rubbing wear to the back of the dust jacket under the protective plastic as shown in the pictures.
Pages are lightly yellowed from age.
The book is autographed by Edward Abbey on the first blank page.
Binding is good.
We did not find any markings in the text.
This came out of the collection of Ken Sanders Rare Books who was a personal friend of Mr. Abbey.
Included is the description paper from KSRB's book store.
I personally think that this connection to both Edward Abbey and Ken Sanders adds a bit of extrinsic value.
As always, please study the pictures for the most detailed description.
If you have any questions please ask them before purchase.
We'd like to share a tribute that Ken Sanders made on their FB page for the late Edward Abbey's 97th birthday. It was sweet and worth repeating:
"Happy Birthday Ed.
My old friend Ed Abbey was born this day in 1927!
Happy 97th birthday Ed!
He was only 62 when he passed in 1989.
Desert Solitaire
The Monkey Wrench Gang
Slick rock
And his last collection of essays, One Life At A Time, Please.
We ran rivers together, attended environmentalist protests together like the "cracking" of Glen Canyon Dam by Earth First! Back in 1981, and then there was that MWG publication party in Moab with Robert Crumb. Wendell Berry once called the works of Ed Abbey "antidotes for despair." I miss you old friend. - Ken"
