ULMA Artist Chalks Mid-Century Julius Loewith Co New York Wood Box Used Un-Used

Beautiful set of vintage German ULMA "dustless" pastel chalks from the Julius Loewith Co. of New York Circa 1950's. Loewith was located where the venerable Strand Comedy Club is today. 10 "Ideal Chalks" in original wood case, some have been used to the nub, others are untouched (temperamental artist, no doubt). Unique haunched joint construction and pivoting latch make the case a standout piece, not to mention the chalk sketches on the inside cover.

AH, THE PLEASURE OF THE MAN'S CAVE AND THE WOMAN'S NOOK

At Portland Pandemonium we always have a lot of stuff suitable for the Man's Cave or the Woman's Nook including lots of tools and notions for the creatives amongst us... "Make yourself useful" is what I tell the things I find, often rescuing them from the dump, picking them up along side the road, or worse! The mundane comes alive when you choose vintage over new: Reuse, Recycle, Repurpose, Rinse and Repeat! Put something old and beat up back to work, or just put it on display to let everyone know you appreciate that they really don't make 'em like they used to!
