THOMAS-TAYLER-IRELAND - "ASHRIDGE PARK - HERTFORDSHIRE"
This beautiful watercolor painting dates to c1890 and is in very good condition, with its original frame intact. It has been kept out of the light, so the colors are very vibrant and the painting depicts Ashridge Park in Hertfordshire in the UK. A gorgeous painting that measures 17.5" x 12" picture size, 24" x 18" overall framed size. Please forgive the reflections from the glass!
Tayler-Ireland was born in London, the son of an established and respected artist Thomas Tayler. Though he painted in oils and watercolors, he was best known for his rural watercolors, especially his woodland scenes. He regularly exhibited at the Royal Academy and the Royal Institute of Painters.
