Front of Card: Vintage Christmas card. There is a hole seen by left edge of card and left edge of insert -- this card is designed to have a ribbon holding the insert in, but ribbon is missing. Pretty picture of a house behind an iron gate with snowy trees -- birds in foreground. "A Merry Christmas"
Inside Card: Verse:
"Each word and letter seems to spring
Sweetly, as bright flowers blossoming,
Plucked from within some hallowed shrine:
Where sacred memories softly shine;
So let it gently wing its way
Over the whole wide world today.
And ever the space between us two
Bear tender greeting from me to you."
Back of Card: Dated by sender, with message written in pen.
Vintage: 1920's
Approximate Height of Card: 5.5"
Condition: Wear corners of card and light tanning bottom edge of card. Hole for ribbon seen near left edge of card. Paper insert inside card is loose (designed to be held in place by a ribbon). There is tanning at fold edge of insert, as seen. Back of card has a scuff top edge, date, and greeting by sender.
