201+ PARTRIDGE PEA Seeds Native Wildflower Fall Food Source Turkey Deer Birds

PARTRIDGE PEA-Also known as sleeping plant, is a fast-growing North American Native that thrives in prairies, riverbanks, meadows, open woodlands and sandy savannas across much of the eastern half of the United States. A member of the legume family, partridge pea is a critical source of nutrition for quail, ring-necked pheasant, prairie chickens and other grassland birds. Partridge pea in gardens provide attractive, bluish-green foliage and bright yellow, nectar-rich blooms that attract bees, songbirds and several species of butterfly. This drought-tolerant plant is a great groundcover and is often used for erosion control. Although partridge pea is an annual, it reseeds itself from year to year. Partridge pea is also known as sensitive plant due to the delicate, feathery leaves that fold up when you brush them with your fingers. Growing partridge peas isn’t complicated. These will grow just about anywhere with full sun. The plant tolerates poor, average to dry soil, including gravel, sandy, clay and loam. Like any legume, partridge pea improves soil quality by adding nitrogen compounds. Easy to grow, carefree plant. 200 +seeds per order.
