Edges of the covers and the pages are worn, lightly soiled. High quality BW lithographs illustrate the letters of the alphabet in black and white. Samuel Gabriel and Sons, Co. survived into the sixties, but eventually succumbed to the economic pressures of Little Golden Books and Scholastic.

They were founded in 1907, so this is an early example of their work; they did picture books, coloring books, and crayons as well as other ephemera like puzzles and such.

We found no holdings in WorldCat; nor any copies of this book for sale anywhere. There were two reprints, on paper, dated 1923 by the same publisher.
