I have not been able to locate any other images of the Dillon House Hotel, other than a small view of the left corner on the Beacon Historical Society fb page. This may be the only photo taken prior to the demolition of this beautiful historical building.
Some property history:
Information based on 1889 Sanborn Maps indicates a commercial hotel with the same footprint as this one. In 1891, I. J. Kern is identified as the Proprietor of the hotel on Main Street. The 1915 directories identify Hotel Albert at 450 Main St. In 1919 in the same location shows Hotel Albert.
1929 Beacon directory identifies Dillon House at 450 Main St. It appears the street was renumbered in the 1930's. Newspaper articles for the 'wreckoning" of the Dillard house 360 Main St, which was razed in 1956 for a new bank building.
