For your consideration is an M-1910 canteen and cover. This set is in heavily used, fair but serviceable condition.

The canteen cover is faded and has large stains on the sides (pictured). The U.S. marking remains very crisp. There are markings on the rear which are not legible. A soldier penned his name on the bottom, which is likewise not legible.

The canteen was used and abused. It is heavily dinged and dented. Nonetheless, it holds water. Most importantly, it has a manufacture date of 1943. Most wartime canteens that are available are dated 1945. Canteens dated from the height of WWII are very difficult to find!

This is a great canteen set for a salty display, or for the reenactor who needs to see the mid-war dates on a canteen that can take some abuse.
