For your consideration is a three color Desert Camouflage Uniform (DCU) jacket in size Small/Long. The jacket is in used, excellent condition. There are no holes or tears and the color is strong. This jacket has the surface warfare patch below the U.S. Navy tape.

The three color DCU replaced the five color "chocolate chip" Desert Battle Dress Uniform (DBDU) in the early 1990's, shortly after Desert Storm. The DBDU was designed in the 1970's for use in the more rugged and complex terrain of the Sinai Desert, where it was envisioned that American soldiers might fight in the Middle East. Therefore, the color scheme was considered unsuitable for the open deserts of Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. A simpler pattern using open desert hues was developed into the DCU.

A note for the collector; remember, there was once a time when WWII HBT uniforms and Vietnam jungle fatigues were considered "common surplus". The time to invest in your future collection is now!
