This is a very nice immediate post Vietnam War LC-1 canteen set. The set is in used, excellent condition with minor signs of wear.



The canteen cover is clean with no holes or frayed areas. It is the early version that retained the M-1967 design features but incorporated the horizontal reinforcement to prevent wear from the canteen cup. It is dated 1974 and still bears the nomenclature "Cover, Water Canteen, Nylon" as opposed to the then official LC-1 designation.



The canteen cup was made by WCW and it is undated. One of its owners etched his initials into the bottom.



The canteen is clean and holds water. It was little used and dated 1973.
