This is a very nice piece. I believe it is also quite rare to see a full example of one. A glass coffee or wine heater (or as I'm not 100% sure of it's original use), the one other example I have seen was stated that it was possibly meant for lab equipment. The glass container is completely intact with no chips, scratches or cracks and is nicely decorated. It sits upon a swivel base with a heating element container, that heated the contents of the glass. The liquid being able to be poured without lifting it off its base. The stand stands quite firmly upon pegged legs.
I believe that it is silver plate and has some tarnish still on it, so will require a little cleaning, otherwise, this is a rare and unique item indeed!
Comes complete with metal holder and original heating element. Possibly made by a Brooklyn company by the name of English Silver Manufacturing Corp.
