Featured with a original oil of Rasputin this is a very rare and hard to find example of Russian tsarist emulation of the Ottoman empire Yataghan. Features are generally inspired by the Ottoman Yataghan, but developed with a touch of Russian military standards. The Crimean war of 1856 aimed to involve more military recruitment from oriental parts of the empire with the intent of integrating various designs connected with those areas.

Visible arsenal and regimental markings on the spine, and the double-headed eagle marking on the blade, used by early Zlatoust manufacture markings. No scabbard.
