Antique Dagger African YAKA Tribe Dagger and Sheath – Southwestern DR Congo.This is a authentic antique Yaka from Zaire from the Southwestern DR Congo.  Possibly from the second half of the 19th century. A flared base spatulate blade with lines of abutting punches flanking the medial. Hide covered grip with flared base the lower segment wrapped with trade wire. Medial cage of rounded brass and iron trade wire. Forged iron pommel with flared base and crimped conical tip above lines of trade copper studs. Blade with original hammer finish. In excellent condition. A fine example.
