MEITO GARLAND CUP AND SAUCER

This beautiful porcelain china cup and saucer was made by Meito.  The pattern name is Garland.  It features delicate hand painted pink roses on a white and cream background.  It was made in Japan during the 1950s.  The cup stands approximately 2 3/8 inches tall, and measures approximately 3 3/4 inches across the top.  The saucer measures approximately 5 3/8 inches across.  There is some wear to the gold trim, on the handle a large spot has the gold worn off, this is on the bottom of the handle, and is not really noticeable unless the cup is turned upside down.  There is minor wear to the design of the cup and saucer, but nothing that would distract from its beauty.  It would display well with other vintage porcelain cups and saucers from the same time period.
