The Boot Spring Clamp is an OEM replacement part for Samsung front-load washing machines. This assembly holds the diaphragm component that forms a seal between the inner and outer tubs during spin cycles. Proper sealing prevents water leaks that could damage surrounding components or floors.  

Symptoms of a bad clamp include:

• Water leakage or pooling below the washer after use
• Continuous wetness around the bottom outer edge of the washer 
• Pungent mildew or mold odors from trapped moisture
• Uneven vibration and off-balance loads during spins

Causes of a bad diaphragm commonly entail cracking or tearing of the rubber material from age, over-sudsing, or foreign objects inside. Repeated exposure to harsh detergents or chemicals accelerates degradation over time as well.
