Vinyl plays with some crackles and a few light-clicks (play-graded). Cover looks great; a few creases near edges; light-scuffing, discoloration spots, and surface impressions (front/back); tiny surface abrasions on front; address sticker near center-left and slight discoloration on back. Inner-sleeve is generic white. Spine is mostly easy-to-read with some wear. Shelf-wear along top/bottom-edge and corners. Split near right of top/bottom-edge and near center of bottom-edge. Opening is crisp with signs of light use and divots. (Not a cut-out.)
Presents 12 Golden Hits, by Steve Allen, is yet another showcase for his versatility. Here he displays a collection of songs that have withstood the ravages of depression, war, recession of rock 'n' roll. These great standards of Tin Pan Alley can evoke memories for every listener-memories of Humphrey Bogart in Casablanca snarling for Dooley Wilson to play it again, meaning As Time Goes By...of Judy Garland sitting on the apron of the Palace Theater and flicking away a tear as she sings Over the Rainbow...of Bunny Berigan standing on a bandstand and blaring I Can't Get Started on his gifted trumpet.
