U S ARMY Joint Communications Unit Challenge Coin with special velvet case.

This is a great looking US Army's Joint Communications Unit challenge coin. Front side is a black and gold JCU Seal. Reverse is all highly polished gold finish with the US ARMY Seal. Coin has reeded edges and is about 1 9/16" in diameter. All details are raised lettering. Coin is contained in an acrylic coin holder.

The Joint Communications Unit (JCU) is a unit of the Joint Special Operations Command charged to standardize and ensure interoperability of the communications procedures and equipment of JSOC and it's subordinate units. JCU was activated at Ft. Bragg, NC in 1980, after the failure of Operation Eagle Claw. JCU has earned the reputation of "DoD's Finest Communicators".
