This hardcover book is part of a set for young readers to learn about American History. This particular volume #7 Named The Bitter War Between the States covers the years 1861-1865. While probably not as inclusive as adult literature for coverage, it is nicely illustrated to be engaging and for my taste worth collecting.

The illustrated boards have a matte like finish.
