Our Bhutanese purses are woven in Lhuntse (Eastern Bhutan). The delicate patterning is created by supplementary wefts worked in the labor-intensive technique called Thrima, twined and wrapped in such a way that the result looks like embroidery. It takes about 7-10 days to make one purse.
Because most of our items are hand-dyed and handmade, the colors and patterns displayed on each item may differ slightly but not in a dramatic way. When you purchase an Iyana Ki item, you are truly making a one-of-a-kind fashion statement.
