Don't try to deny it: there was once a time in your life when you wanted your MTV. Of course, your musical tastes have come pretty far since the days of Rico Suave videos and Beavis and Butthead vignettes. Here, the Postal Service wows us with their retro style "We Will Become Silhouettes," Sleater-Kinney portray a memorable tale of cubical angst with "Jumpers," and the Shins break our hearts with the saddest paper puppet cow in the world on "Pink Bullets." Oh, and Ugly Casanova's uncensored version of "Things I Don't Remember" puts us off our feed for a week. The names and the faces have changed since the heyday of the music video, but rock stars plus arty film imagery plus music is still as mesmerizing as it ever was.
