This vintage Crown Staffordshire butter keeper is a beautiful addition to any kitchen or dining room. The round shape and multicolor floral pattern on the bone china material make it a unique and stylish piece. The shiny finish, along with the matching pattern dome lid, adds a touch of elegance to the butter dish, making it perfect for serving butter or other small items. The butter dish is part of the "Thousand Flowers" collection and it dates back to the 1930's. Both the dome and the dish have the "green" back stamp on them indicating they were made in England. The dome has a knob finial and both the dish and dome have a small line of gold around the rims, which appear to be in very good condition. It is 7 5/8 inches in width and 3 5/8 high. As with any vintage item, there are some imperfections. As stated in the "condition", there is some slight crazing on the dome. However, for the age of this piece, this should be expected. I noticed a very small faint yellow partial line where the the "lip" of the dish meets the bottom of the dome. It is hardly noticeable, but I wanted to state it. There are also a few, very small, specks of paint, on the bottom portion of the dish, from when the product was manufactured. Although, this piece may not be "pristine", for an antique collector, it would be absolutely perfect for someone that truly enjoys being surrounded by very nice vintage items. This piece would be perfect for your dinner parties, weddings, or any special occasion or to just add a touch of vintage charm to your home! It really is a beautiful piece and it is more beautiful in person!
