September Girls: Heartbeats E.P. CD. Promo

Heartbeats is the single taken from the album Cursing the Sea by Dublin, Ireland based September Girls.  Filled with fuzzy guitars and ethereal female vocals, this song is typical of the emotional underpinnings, layered vocals, swirling organ and distorted guitar in their music. Named from a Big Star song as covered by the Bangles, September Girls comprise Paula Cullen on bass and vocals, Sarah Grimes on drums, Caoimhe Derwin on rhythm guitar and vocals, Lauren Kerchner on keys and vocals and Jessie Ward on lead guitar and vocals. Drawing inspiration from the likes of The Cure, My Bloody Valentine and Jesus and Mary Chain, the five-piece band plays reverb-soaked noise-pop of the finest order.  The E.P. also contains Wasted, a brooding but razor-sharp guitar lined bit of girl group melody with a thudding bass floor beat that can only be found on this E.P.  Very rare.  A must have for collectors.
