This is the 11th studio album from enduring L.A. artist Paul Collins, who was an original member of The Nerves (with Peter Case) and later The Beat, which was very popular in the 70’s and 80’s and who has been covered by some of the best: Blondie, Green Day, Def Leppard and Cat Power, to  name a few.  Like all his music, the guitar is pithy and authentic, and filled with catchy hooks that represent a kind of American pub rock that will never go out of style because of its garage roots and revved up pop.  The unforgettable melody is delivered with a punch and the song writing is always superior and on the level of say Elvis Costello or Tom Petty.  Rickenbacker, reverb, and 60’s style harmonies abound within a groovy drum structure (also played by Paul Collins) that never strays from the undying sound of true rock and roll.  Seems like some of his best music is yet to come.  Comes with a photo cover shot by legendary NY photographer Bob Gruen.
