Blues on the Fox (Blues Festival Aurora,Illinois) June 2012. Taking place on the weekend immediately following the Chicago Blues Festival, there is a smaller and more intimate event for those fans that either did not attend or had not gotten their fill of the blues. This festival began in 1997 and is now held at RiverEdge Park on the banks of the Fox River just north of Downtown Aurora. The park is a relatively new creation and boast a state of the art stage providing great sound and Lighting. Large monitors are places around the seating area providing great views even for those some distance from the stage,. This year’s line-up had was headlined by Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Shemeka Copeland, Shane Dwight, The Lee Boys and The Nevilles.
