All ingredients are easily obtained and the directions for preparation are concise, explicit, and lead even the rank novice step by step to a delicious conclusion. In addition there are scores of gourmet recipes acquired by the author from fine dining establishments and chefs across Europe and North America. All are suitable for entertaining the most sophisticated palates. And, all are blended with the Curmudgeon's salty epigrams, quips, and witticisms for the reader's enjoyment and reflection. A quick scan of the table of contents will bring to mind long forgotten treats nestled in our happy memories.
