Beautiful Antique Sorrento Ware Small Wooden Marquetry Swallow Hairpin Box.
A beautiful little hinged lid box for holding your hair / bobby pins. The two hinges in fantastic working order.
The lid has been decorated with a marquetry swallow in flight. All of the wooden marquetry pieces are securly in place.
The interior of the box is partitioned into three compartments, one bigger than the two others which are of equal size.
A stuinning piece. Comes with 5 vintage metal pin curl hairclips which are stamped made in England.
PLEASE NOTE that this beautiful box shows some signs of wear; light scuffs, marks and a couple of tiny dents and dulling to the wood which would be brightened with a good polish. The interior has some marks inside the compartments. See photos for all details.
