With our XL boat shelf MIRI, made from an authentic, old fishing boat, which was in the waters not so long ago of Indonesia was fishing, bring an absolute feast for the eyes into the house.
The naturally aged wood of this old canoe creates an attractive ambience with its cracks and partially peeling paint and also offers a perfect filling for bleak corners.
Some are among the existing models too original dugout canoes, which from a single piece of tree trunk are beaten, these are naturally somewhat narrower than the larger, regularly manufactured specimens, but a real piece of history, because these boats are simply no longer manufactured.

Small indentations, discolouration, cracks or scratches are not unusual for these natural items. Wood is a living material, has grown naturally and needs to be reworked accordingly. All items are handmade, so there are small errors in the item, uneven surfaces, etc. normal deviations.

The agony of choice
The appearance of many of our items can vary greatly. The article picture is always only an example, since it is unfortunately not possible for us to photograph each article individually in studio quality. Are you looking for a special item? We are also happy to respond to your wishes and look specifically for an article according to your ideas.
How much an article deviates from the article picture can be seen under the product dimensions on a scale from "no" deviation to "strong" deviation.
Each piece is unique
Wood is alive and you can see it. Each item has its own color spectrum, hard or soft color changes, knotholes, cracks, notches or the like. These small differences make each item unique and create a natural, original atmosphere. Deviations from the specified dimensions are possible. These deviations do not constitute a reason for complaint. The shape of the individual items (especially the Root Wood ) can vary greatly, please consider this when ordering.
Please note that wood is a living material. Especially in the cold season, we recommend that you let the piece of furniture acclimate for a few days in a slightly warm room (e.g. bedroom) before setting it up at your destination. This reduces the risk of cracks in the wood. Even particularly dry air (e.g. in rooms heated by a fireplace) can lead to cracks in the wood. The optimum room humidity for solid wood is around 60%.
Wood basically continues to work, resp. starts again when introduced to a new "climate zone". Even items that have been in our shop or warehouse for years can, for example, develop cracks at the new location due to adaptation to new conditions. This is simply unavoidable and is a natural feature of items made from a single piece. Such cracks generally do not affect the structure of the item and do not constitute a reason for complaint. We ask you to take this into account when placing your order.

IMPORTANT: The UK left the European Union on January 1st 2021 (Brexit). From this point on shipments to the UK are considered imports. These orders will be processed straight to your doorstep. For orders over 135GBP the UK VAT will be charged once the shipment arrives in the UK. You will get a notification from the British shipping company on what has to be paid. Only after the customs payment has been processed, the parcel will be delivered to the destination.

Please make sure that for our lamps and other electrical products you might need an adapter to fit your local electrical network. For shipping outside of the EU we will use DHL international parcel service to minimize your waiting time. Please understand that DHL can sometimes take a little bit longer than expected. If your parcel did not reach you in time, please let us know and we will take care of it.

We always ship large and particularly heavy items on pallets using DB Schenker.
Of course, you can arrange a desired delivery date with the forwarding agent.

We offer worldwide shipping (also to German islands).
