Small dents, discoloration, cracks or scratches are not uncommon with these natural items. Wood is a living material, has grown naturally and can be reworked accordingly. All items are handmade, so there are small errors in the item, uneven surfaces, etc. normal deviations.

The agony of choice

The appearance of many of our items can vary greatly. The item image is always just an example, as unfortunately it is not possible for us to photograph each item individually in studio quality. Would you like a specific item? No problem, just write to us and we will be happy to send you some pictures of our current stock. We would be happy to respond to your wishes and specifically search for an item that meets your requirements.

You can see how much an item deviates from the item image under the product dimensions on a scale from "no" deviation to "strong" deviation. 

Every piece is unique

Wood is alive, and you can see it. Each item has its own color spectrum, hard or soft color changes, knotholes, cracks, notches or similar. These small differences make each individual item unique and create a natural, original atmosphere. Deviations from the specified dimensions are possible. These deviations do not constitute a reason for a complaint. The shape of the individual items (especially Root Wood ) can also vary greatly, please take this into account when ordering.

Please note that wood is a living material. Especially in the cold season, we recommend that you let the piece of furniture acclimatise for a few days in a slightly warmed room (e.g. bedroom) before setting it up at your destination. This reduces the risk of cracks in the wood. Particularly dry air (e.g. in rooms heated by fireplaces) can also lead to cracks in the wood. The optimal room humidity for solid wood is around 60%. 

Wood basically continues to work, or begins again when introduced into a new "climate zone". Even items that have been in our store or warehouse for years can, for example, develop cracks in the new location as they adapt to new conditions. This simply cannot be avoided and is a natural peculiarity of items that are made from a single piece. Such cracks generally do not affect the structure of the item and do not constitute a reason for complaint. We ask you to take this into account when placing your order. 

For our customers from the UK

IMPORTANT: The UK left the European Union on January 1st 2021 (Brexit). From this point on shipments to the UK are considered imports. These orders will be processed straight to your doorstep. For orders over 135GBP the UK VAT will be charged once the shipments arrive in the UK. You will get a notification from the British shipping company on what has to be paid. Only after the customs payment has been processed, the parcel will be delivered to the destination.

Please make sure that for our lamps and other electrical products you might need an adapter to fit your local electrical network. For shipping outside of the EU we will use DHL international parcel service to minimize your waiting time. Please understand that also DHL can sometimes take a little bit longer than expected. If your parcel did not reach you in time, please let us know and we will take care of it.

We always ship large and particularly heavy items on pallets through the DB Schenker shipping company.
Of course, you can arrange a desired delivery date with the shipping company.
In order to deliver your order as quickly as possible, Please remember to have a current email address and telephone number (preferably mobile) where the shipping company can reach you!
