Rhinestones are red.  Buts sparkles dark red magenta in curtain lighting.   I tried to get the sparkle to show with the pictures. 

Beautiful vintage gold tone red rhinestone brooch.  This brooch is approximately 1 5/8 inches long and 1 3/4 inches wide.  Excellent vintage condition.
