It is brand new. The box isn't in the greatest condition, as shown in last 2 pictures. It acts as a guard rail keeping you or your loved one safe from rolling out of the bed during the night. It folds out of the way when not in use or while making the bed. Simply release the two round knobs from their locked position to collapse the rail. It can be used with most traditional and platform beds including twin, full, queen, king and California king and for mattresses between 10 and 19 inches thick. It is not intended for use on adjustable beds or beds with extra soft mattresses. The compact design offers stability and assistance while providing a low profile solution to bedroom safety.
