Vinyl plays with occasional light-crackles (play-graded). 12" Single. Generic Mercury cover looks great; a few creases near edges; light-scuffing, tiny surface abrasions, and surface impressions (front/back). Inner-sleeve is original (generic white). Spine is partly readable with some wear. Shelf-wear along top/bottom-edge and corners. Opening shows signs of use and divots. (Not a cut-out.)
What I Need, by Crystal Waters, was released as a single from her album Storyteller and later became Waters' fourth single to top the US Billboard Dance Club Songs Chart. It also reached the top spot of the Bubbling Under Hot 100 and No. 82 of the Billboard Hot 100. In other media, What I Need was featured in the film Double Dragon (1994) and an episode of television series So You Think You Can Dance Canada. What I Need was described as a house piece and one of the album's "jovial, upbeat" moments, where Waters performed her vocal in a "sick, tired, and simmering" manner. 100% Pure Love was released as the album's lead single. The song was a hit in many countries, reaching the top 20 in Australia, Finland, the Netherlands, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States. It is certified platinum in Australia and gold in the US. In 1995, it was awarded the prize for Top ASCAP Dance Song. And its accompanying music video, directed by Marcus Nispel, was nominated for Best Dance Video at the 1994 MTV Video Music Awards.
