The Military Order of the Carabou was established  by servicemen stationed in the Philippines combating the insurrection of 1898. It was created as a joke, or parody, order in response to the pomp and seriousness of the Order of the Dragon  created by those who fought in China at the turn of the century. It chose the lowly Philippine water buffalo as it's symbol  in contrast to the Golden Dragon of Peking.  The Order of the Carabou has all the characteristics and features found in other such organizations owing to the seriousness it's founders exhibited at its creation. Contents: A Brief History; Governance; Insignia; The Wallow; Songs; Honor Bells; The Quezon Speech; The Grand Paramount Carabou.
