This is an outstanding piece of Mexican folk art imported from the Huichol traditions of Nayarit, Mexico. It is a beautifully created lavish shrine featuring the representation of a shamanic flood story with Watacame and her dog, Tusí, battling torrential storms to be the saviors of life on earth. They are inundated with sea life and raining snakes but safely tucked into their boat amidst a dazzling scene in a vibrant glassed-in box that measures approximately 12” in width, 9” in height by 2” in depth. The edges feature cutouts of more ocean creatures. Priority Mail shipping in the U.S. will be $20.00. All auctions are unconditionally guaranteed and proceeds benefit our animal sanctuary in Northern Arizona, Little Orphan Animals. Thank you for your support!
