A very desirable full size French gallantry medal in extremely fine condition. It is of bronze construction and measures 1.1/2 inches x 1.5/8th inches, (36mm x 42mm) . The ribbon is original and is also in excellent condition and retains the twin pin attachment on the reverse.

Awarded to Foreign Legionaires, it is a very attractive medal and was instituted in 1956 for gallantry in campaigns in North Africa, (Algeria, Tunisia, Marocco, etc). The lower arm of the obverse is officially impressed with the official mintmark and letters B.R. (Bronze).

This medal would compliment any collection and I fully guarantee that it is genuine and authentic.
