Here is a nice vintage tabletop board game for youngsters called "The Happy Little Train Game." I did not have this game as a kid, but I know people who did and they loved it. This is the original edition from 1957 and is from the estate of the third-generation of a one-family owner. I am told it was a real favorite on a rainy afternoon. Very cool vibrant graphics and an upbeat storyline make this game a standout. Originally set as a two-person game, it can easily accommodate multiple players. The game board and spinner are in excellent condition. The box is a bit shopworn. See the photos. You are now free to relive the memories....
For children of all ages these two things seem synonymous with Christmas, Birthdays, Bar & Bat Mitzvahs, Easter, Hanukah, Diwali, Grandparents Arriving for a Visit, Father Returning From a Business Trip, Chinese New Year, Eid al-Fitr, Monito Monita, Advent, and so on and so forth.... Interestingly, most of the shoppers who visit this section are adults looking to find something from their own childhood memory: That certain Tonka truck, or that particular Cootie game, or that special Raggedy Ann or Andy, or even their own personal "Rosebud" (if you know what I mean).... Listings are always changing here as things come and go, so check back occasionally; you might just find what you have forgotten.
