Cee (the narrator) is a pregnant woman forced to ride the train after an unspecified disaster turned Earth into a post-apocalyptic living Hell. As she desperately tries to survive on the outside against the harsh conditions of her new life, she also fights against vivid nightmares trying to convince her of the futility of existence in a world as lifeless as the one she's about to bring a new life into.
The two differant styles of animation, crudely rendered still-frames of hand drawn sketches and smooth CGI production design, shouldn't work on principle, but here they blend perfectly in order to create the film's visual style. Evidently many film festivals thought so too and awarded it at numerous events.
